Questions people ask first
How many CRS points does French actually add?
With NCLC 7 or higher in all four French skills, IRCC adds 50 points if your English test is CLB 5 or higher in all four skills, or 25 points if it isn't (or you have no English test). That's on top of any second-language points. Separately, NCLC 7 makes you eligible for French-language category draws, which have closed far below general draws (as of July 2026).
I have zero French. Is this realistic?
Yes. Most of our French students start at absolute zero. A1 assumes no French, and instructions are in English until you don't need them.
How long will it take me to reach NCLC 7?
From zero, most working adults need 9–14 months at 4–5 hours a week, including exam prep. If you already have some French, it's shorter. We'll give you your own estimate in the free class. We'd rather quote you an honest number than a marketable one.
I work full-time. Can I fit this in?
That's who the batches are built for: early morning, evening and weekend slots, about 4–5 hours a week. Every class is recorded, so a late shift doesn't cost you a lesson.
TEF Canada or TCF Canada?
Both are accepted for Express Entry. The better choice depends on your deadline and test dates available to you. We'll recommend one in your free class. DELF is a lifetime certificate but is not the exam for Express Entry.
What does it cost?
Fees depend on your starting level and whether you choose group or one-to-one classes. We'll give you the exact figure on WhatsApp or at the end of your free class, with no pressure to decide on the call.
Are you immigration consultants?
No. PrepEve teaches French and prepares you for the exam. We don't file applications. CRS rules and draw cutoffs are set by IRCC and change often, so always check the official IRCC website.
