When do you pay?

Creating an Express Entry profile is free. You pay the processing fees and the biometrics fee online when you submit your PR application after an invitation. You can pay the RPRF with your application or later, when IRCC asks for it.

Can you get a refund?

The RPRF is refunded if you withdraw your application or it is refused. It is the only fee IRCC can refund once processing has started, so check every document before you submit.

How to keep your total cost down

  • Sit your language test when you are ready. A retake costs ₹19,000 again, and missing your target in one skill can mean a second test.
  • Get your ECA early. It stays valid for five years, so one report can cover your whole time in the pool.
  • Request police certificates early. A missing document can get your application refused, and the processing fee is not refunded.
  • Check IRCC’s fee list on the day you pay, in case fees change again.
