TCF Canada centres in India (November 2026)

All five are Alliance Française centres. France Éducation international, which runs the TCF, approves the centres, and each one publishes its own sessions, fee and rules.

Express Entry needs results in all four skills (listening, reading, writing and speaking), so book the full TCF Canada.

TCF Canada in Ahmedabad

Alliance Française d'Ahmedabad holds TCF Canada in digital format, on secure computers at its centre. Seats go first come, first served: you fill in a form, receive a payment link by email, and your seat is confirmed only once you pay. The fee is not refunded after you register. The centre posts new sessions on its website and Instagram. Its page does not list the fee, so ask when you enquire.

TCF Canada in Bangalore

Alliance Française de Bangalore runs TCF Canada for candidates aged 16 and over. Its 12 December 2026 session was already full in early November, so ask its TCF Canada desk about the next date as early as you can. The centre's page does not list the fee or say whether the test is on paper or computer.

TCF Canada in Bhopal

Alliance Française de Bhopal holds TCF Canada on paper, at ₹26,000 per seat. You register online with a scanned photo ID, candidates must be at least 16, and registration closes one month before each exam. The fee is not refunded once you register. Bhopal lists each session, with its date, on its registration page.

TCF Canada in Kolkata (Alliance Française du Bengale)

Alliance Française du Bengale holds TCF Canada on computer. Under its fee structure from 1 January 2026, the full test costs ₹26,000 including GST. Choose your test and date, fill in the registration form and pay, at least 15 days before the exam. Candidates must be at least 16.

For sessions from January 2027, the centre lets you postpone once, by up to three months, for 50% of the fee (₹13,000), if you ask at least 15 working days before the exam.

TCF Canada in Delhi

Alliance Française de Delhi describes itself as the official TCF accredited exam centre in Delhi. It runs only the Canada version of the TCF, on computer, and publishes its TCF Canada exam schedule for 2026 on its website. Check that schedule for the next session and its registration window, and ask the centre for the current fee.

No TCF Canada centre in your city?

Alliance Française centres in Chandigarh, Chennai, Hyderabad, Lucknow, Mumbai, Pune and Thiruvananthapuram run TEF Canada for Canada PR instead. IRCC accepts TEF Canada and TCF Canada in the same way for Express Entry, so you can travel to a TCF centre or book TEF Canada closer to home.

• Choose by date, not by test. A test you can sit next month beats one with no seats until next year.
• Compare the tasks. The writing and speaking tasks differ, so read TEF Canada vs TCF Canada before you decide.
• Thiruvananthapuram: its TCF Canada page looks out of date, so ask the centre before you plan around a TCF date there.

How to register for TCF Canada in India

1. Pick a centre and a session. If your nearest centre is full, another city may still have seats.
2. Note the deadline. Registration closes one month before the exam in Bhopal, and at least 15 days before in Kolkata.
3. Fill in the centre's form. Use the name and details on the passport or photo ID you will show on test day.
4. Pay to confirm your seat. In Ahmedabad, for example, the seat is confirmed only after payment.
5. Read your confirmation for the reporting time and the ID to bring.

To compare the cost with TEF Canada, see the TEF and TCF Canada exam fee in India.

After the test: scores, re-marking and validity

IRCC converts each of your four TCF Canada scores to an NCLC level. For the extra French points in Express Entry, you need NCLC 7 in all four skills:

• No re-marking. From 1 September 2026, France Éducation international no longer accepts requests to re-evaluate TCF Canada results, so the score you receive is final.
• Validity. For Express Entry, your result must be less than 2 years old when you create your profile and when you apply.
• Retakes. You can sit the test again, but each attempt costs the full fee.

Already have a result? Check your levels with the TCF Canada to NCLC calculator. For the four tests and how scoring works, see our TCF Canada guide, and for what French adds to your profile, see French for Canada PR.
